Happy Sunday Morning Dear Friends,
I hope you all are hanging out in your p.j.'s with a faithful pet, reading the newspaper and having one more cup of coffee. Sundays are great days for spending some quality time with our canine and feline family members. Bogie and Baby have had breakfast and are down for their morning nap. Oh, the life of a Basset Hound!
I wanted to share with you some great feed back I recently received from two different customers. Both had dogs that had itchy spots on their bodies and were pulling the fur out between their toes and other places. They had tried everything the vet recommended, but with no success. I suggested they give our TotalZymes Plus a try since it has probiotics ( like in yogurt) and enzymes that help them digest and utilize food, with the understanding that if it didn't help we would, of course, refund the purchase price. Within ten (10) days, both reported the itching and scratching seemed to have stopped, hair was growing back and their pets seem to feel better in general. Yipee. We frequently get such testimonials, but having two at the same time seemed especially cool! It totally made our day! Yipee!!
We love to read your success stories, so please share them either here, on our Facebook page, Twitter, write or call!
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Dorla, Bogie and Baby

Dear Friends,
I have been a "bad" girl. Without meaning to, I took a vacation from "blogging." I went to France to visit friends in May and didn't have time to write, although I did have a great time! One of the most fun things was seeing all of the French dogs. In France, dogs are welcome everywhere, including 5 star restaurants. Cafes even have their own dogs. Every shop has a bowl of water for dogs and the restaurants immediately serve dogs water and a treat as soon as the owner is seated. The French seem to love all types of dogs and each dog is well behaved. I never saw a French dog misbehave or bark. I sure wish I knew the secret and could teach it to Bogie and Baby!
After returning from France, I had a very busy summer and "blogging" took a back seat to working with our staff and customers as well as helping with canine non profit charity work. I am committed to writing again and am lookiing forward to sharing some of the inspiring stories of our customers and friends. We are currently working on rewriting some of the "copy" on our website to give everyone even more information about our products and answering some of the questions that you all have posed over the years. So look for that soon.
Bogie and Baby are doing well. Bogie just had a "tune up" that included having his teeth cleaned and an ear flushed out under anaesthetic. Bassets are prone to ear infections and we had been fighting this one for a while. He is all better now thanks to Dr. Mike of Desert Hills Animal Hospital in Sparks, Nevada. Great vet!
Can't wait to catch everyone up on all of the happenings here from the last few months. Please write me and share your stories, tips and info. I promise to do a better job of staying in touch. Please, please "Like" us on Facebook so we can get the word out about our products, help more dogs and then have more money to donate to charity.
Thank you all for your patience. Hope you had a nice summer as well. Looking forward to the crisp days of fall and cool walks with the hounds. I'll be in touch.
Hugs,
Dorla, Bogie and Baby

I love this-- author unknown--but I had to share it--so true---
If you can start the day without caffeine,
if you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
if you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
if you can eat plain food every day and be grateful for it,
if you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,
if you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
if you can conquer tension without medical help,
if you can relax without liquor,
if you can sleep with the aids of drugs.
Then, You Are Probably The Family Dog!

Dear Friends,
Good news! After being backordered for a couple of weeks, we have a new supply of the K9Immunity Plus® in stock. This product, along with the K9Full Flex, is just getting remarkable results and we can't keep it in stock! The manufacturer is having trouble keeping up since it is so fantastic. We now have it in all sizes. If you haven't tried it, you might want to do so next time you order. K9Immunity Plus contains K9 Immunity, K9 Transfer Factor and K9 Omega all in one easy to chew liver flavored wafer. It's easier to administer and cheaper than purchasing the products individually. It is good for your healthy dogs, too.
As always, thank you so much for your support. Please share your success stories and doggie pictures with us. If you have any questions or need help, please let us know.
Hugs to you and your canine family members.

Dear Friends,
I wanted to share with you a touching story one of our customers told me today. You may have noticed that we always write a personal note with each order and also attach a paper clip in the shape of a dog bone and a magnet. All are just little things we do to let you know we are thinking of you and your "pup" and care. A customer said today that everytime she gets her order, she puts the paperclips and magnets up on her refrigerator. She used them as a way of "marking" every month her dog has lived beyond his prognosis after a cancer diagnosis. How cool is that? I love it! What a great idea!
I remember when Rosie was sick, just being grateful for evey day and then when days turned into weeks, then months and eventually years, it was just fantastic! So, I instantly knew just what this nice lady meant.
So, thanks so much for sharing stories like this. They mean a great deal to us.
As always, hugs to you and your canine family members and please let us know how we may be of service.
Dorla, Bogie, Baby and the whole gang.

Dear Friends,
Here are several cool pet related websites that I just heard about you might enjoy.
Dogster.com and Catster.com provide a place where you can not only share pictures of your pets and meet fellow animal lovers, but also get info about breeds, health and food recommendations and where to find vets near you.
The "app" Petfinders puts its powerful database of cute creatures in your palm. If you're in search of a new friend, plug in breed, gender, size and other features to find matches in your area, including pictures of adoptable pets.
Petside.com offers a way to add your puppy or kitten to the site's timeline and receive e-mail about your pet's development.
Have fun!
Hugs,
Dorla

Dear Friends,
I am so sorry not to have posted in a while. Life has handed me several challenging situations and then I had problem with the blog. It's all fixed and life has calmed down, so I'm looking forward to catching up and hearing from all of you.
I hope this finds everyone and their canine family members well. My dogs, Bogie and Baby, are doing great. If you would like to see a really cute video of them, please go to our Facebook page. The video was taken by David on St. Patrick's Day. They were wearing their bandanas that said "Kiss Me, I'm Irish." The video is set to the Van Morrison song "You Have A Friend In Me" and has them doing their silly Basset Hound tricks, ie. lying on their belly, looking sad, beng goofy, etc. I would love to see pictures and videos of your dogs. Please send them to me and we will post for everyone to enjoy.
Spring seems to finally be coming to the Sierra Nevada's and I am really looking forward to long walks with Bogie and Baby. It's been a long winter here.
Lots more to follow, but that's it for now.
Hugs to you and your pups,
Dorla

Dear Friends,
I hope your 2011 is treating you well so far. It has been good for us. We have made some new friends, both human and furry, heard some great testimonials from customers about their dogs bouncing back from near death after starting our products and been able to make some contributions to shelters. Bogie and Baby have enjoyed several trips to the dog park on days when the weather has cleared and that has been really great. It gives up hope that spring will be here before long and then we can go every day! "Baby" thinks she is "Queen" of the dog park and is the official greeter for each new dog who shows up.
I realized today that I haven't ever shared with you a great website. It is "TheAnimalRescueSite.com" It has great information on dogs and also some links to great products, but most importantly, you can click on a link there and they will donate food to animal shelters. We are in no way connected to the site and so I'm not advertising for them, but I really love this site. Every day they have a great story from a pet owner about their rescued pet. I really look forward to reading the stories and then clicking on the link to donate food. It is free and doesn't cost you anything to donate. Just another way to help our furry friends.
Keep your paws warm and let us hear from you!
Hugs,
Dorla
